Well, DML has discontinued many kits, and not just the Sherman. The Jagdtiger, T-34, T26 Pershing, StuG III F are or have been discontinued at some time. Demand for the Sherman is pretty high, so I would imagine that it will turn up again.
As for it being the best, I think it is highly overrated. The turret, in particular is very poor and takes a lot of work or a replacement to solve the problems. The kit is nice, but as with many kits, there is room for a lot of improvement. |
