Dave,
You are the 1st to respond - since I've posted this question I've
given thought as to straightening the staple. I need to get off my butt and
try this - you can't really straghten a staple perfectly. I wonder if the
kinks in the staple are enough to hold it in place once it is inserted
betwwen each link thus eliminating the need to use super glue in
addition.......
