It's not quite that easy unfortunately. The Tamiya kit is a Mark VII - wartime Churchill AVREs were built on Mark III and IV hulls (mostly IVs). The earlier hulls were slightly narrower (not hugely significant in 1/35 scale). There are a number of other differences (hull hatches, front hull etc)

The KK Castings set provides a new turret, new hull front, new side hatches etc and will give you a good representation of a Mk IV AVRE. I believe that it's still available.

There was a post-war version of the AVRE, based on the MK VII Churchill, but this was very different from the wartime version.
