Did you see my article about this stuff? It is difficult to apply, yes. Two
things I did was: 1) roughen up the model surface with coarse sandpaper and
2) make sure the model surface is totally dry and clean. I also made a tool
from polypropylene, you can use the plastic that yogurt lids are made of
too, this stuff sort of "repels" the putty. I actually prefer to use the
green putty now as I am quick at doing the pattern so the longer drying time
of Zimm-it-rite is on no value to me.
