Hi Lance,
I have both Aber sets, and the Part set. It all depends how good you are
with this medium. Both Aber sets are extremely thorough but some of the
parts are quite difficult to use. One, the fan blade mount, was useless.
A quick breakdown of the sets.
Aber
35093; lower suspension details (to make it working), engine details
including hose connections, radiator details, working canvas bow stowage
clips, rear mud flap working hinges, folding step for drop down tailgate,
rear black out light & mount, rear light mount, tow coupler bayonet, winch
cable guide details, working hinges for upper hood vent flaps, working locks
for engine side doors, lots of engine bay details, tool stowage clips, Notek
and rear view mirror mounts, dash boards (two types), pedals, rifle clips,
Famo logo, and small chains.
35094; new side doors over the tool bins, rubber mud flaps, engine fan, air
cylinder mounts, winch details, working bows for driver's area (without tarp,
of course), floor rifle mounts, removable floor panels, turn signals, working
windscreen, windshield wipers, and tools for the tool box.
Part
35-024; dash board, small fuel tank mount (not in Aber set), large fuel tank
(not in Aber set), shifter layout inserts (not in Aber set, this is first
painted white, then dry brushed black to reveal the clutch and shifter
diagrams!), pedals, rifle clips, radiator screen, windshield wipers, tool
clips, rear convoy light (at 9 parts, much better detail than Aber's but
harder to construct), a panel to place rivet details missing from under the
drivers seat on the kit, working hinges for the side doors over the tool box
areas, new tools, canvas bow mounts, canvas bow stowage, tailgate limit
chains, working hinges for tailgate (not in Aber set), rear view mirror and
mount, windshield hinge details, Famo logo, and small chains.
The Part set is right in between Eduard and Aber in terms of detailing
tidbits yet, lowest in price. So, the question is up to you, how far do you
want to take your detailing? Hope this helps.
