Paul,
Photos of late Panther G's (post Oct 44) end to show more vehicles lacking
side skirts than those having them.
The side skirts were held in place by placing the part of the plate with a
hole in it onto the hooks/supports on the side of the tank's hull. In
reality the plates overlapped with each hook supporting the end of one plate
and the start of the next. The Tamiya kit lacks this overlap, hence another
reason modellers often leave these skirts off the Tamiya kit.
