The Leopard 2A5 has perforated sheet steel instead of mesh. I found the
perfect etched sheet for it. It is by Special Shapes, 1160 Naperville
DR.,Romeoville, IL 60446-0487, 630-759-1970. Part number SSM-05 Etched Brass
Mesh 1 7/16x8 $5.60, at least that's all the info from the packaging. I
think they are a Model Railway Supplier.

I made copies of the templates in the instructions then glued them to the
brass using spray on craft adhesive. I then cut out the peices using a good
pair of scissors. I finished the edges and the cutouts with a file. I
removed the templates using some Acetone. Finally I sanded down the faces of
the parts to make the mesh a bit finer. I annealed (heated with a flame) the
parts and carefully bent them to shape around the stowage bin frames. There
was a little more filing required to make them fit perfectly. I'm a lot
happier with the look than the supplied mesh, although I did use the suplied
mesh to do the floor of the basket.
regards,
Trevor Ware
