Eric,
No problems with the Italeri turret on the Tamiya M4A3 hull. Just make sure you smooth out the "steps" in the barrel.
The High Bustle 75mm turret (Tamiya) on the Large Hatch M4A1 Cast hull creates a very rare version. Depending on how detailed you want to get, you might need to play with some modelling putty and add the cast-in "applique" armor on the hull sides.
To date, only one confirmed photo of a non-Duplex Drive tank with this combination of turret and hull has been located.
