Eric,
A 75mm turret on the Italeri M4A1 hull is a fairly rare vehicle. Apparently most if not all were built as DD vehicles. So to do this mod you would have to at least add the DD drive system.
Yes, you can build a fairly accurate M4A3 76 using the Tamiya hull and the Italeri turret. I assume you are talking about the late M4A3 kit Tamiya did and not the early or mid production kits they currently have. If either of the last two, then no the mod would not be accurate. About all that really needs to be done to the Italeri turret would be replace the barrel or use putty to remove the step in the barrel.
