i think you're right about the future not being dry enough. the cloudiness actually went away by the next morning, and i didn't have the same problem on other areas where the future had set for a few days.
also, i found that using the micro set and then a healthy dose of micro sol on Flat paint (!) worked perfectly! i may as well skip the future floor wax. i didn't want to use future on the zimmerit section, so like i said i just used the micro set and sol, and i dont have any silvering or discoloration. a test decal on a scrap model, putting the decal on an even, painted surface came out well.
i think part of the problem was the kit decals. on two different pieces (one of the numbers and a balcencruz) the freaking decals shattered into pieces when i was putting them on the model!!!!! i had to try and paint in the number by hand, as half of the "3" was destroyed! oh well, better luck next time i guess.
