Hi
My understanding of this subject is that the turret that comes with the kit was the one that was demonstrated to Hitler. It should have the raised roof section as per the kit although I cannot comment on the dimensional accuracy.
There was however one of these Porsche Tigers (003) that actually saw combat. It was fitted with a Krupp turret as per the normal Tiger I. It used a rear storage basket as per the Italeri Porsche kit, not the normal type as per the standard Tiger I. I have some plans from one of my books that give a good idea of what you would need to know to build the one off combat version as I plan to build this myself at some time. Please let me know if you would like me to scan them and mail them to you.
