I have a resin T-35 tank by Modelkrak. Though in 1/72 scale it is as large as some 1/35 models and rather complicated.
This weekend (while on the way to a contest of course) I noted that both fenders had split one to wto cm long about down the middle going staight back from the front!!!!
The splits were not on the superglued joints and appear to have not gone all the way through the fender braces molded on, just the flat fender underneath????
What happened?????
* It looks like an unglued seam but is not. I suspect that the superglue is stronger than the resin which is why it did not split on the joint.
* Modelkrak is a very good company with high quality.
* The model is about two years old so could the resin still be curing?
* Stress from temperature changes?
I'll try and fix with superglue and repainting. Anyone ever hear of this before?
Tanks for help,
Stephen |
