Adam,
Which brand super glue did you use? From your description it seems like you
are using a "gel" type consistency when you would be better off with a
thinner concistency that would flow into the seams.
I had those problem when I used some DIY spuerglue, but didn't get it when
using a dearer super glue (HoT Stuff Super T which comes in two
consistencies) that I bought from a model shop. This glue is supposedly
formulated for modellers and is also stocked by railway model shops.
