Hi,

Easily uniform? That only comes from experience. I have used different
items below the areas that I need to press. A hard rubber (I used a mold
box) works best.

However, if you are making parts like a T-34 mudguard, Panther rear stowage
box, or T-55 tool box, I find it easier to use lead foil or thin aluminum to
make the parts myself over the original.
