Hi Bill

I know what you mean. Often Verlinden parts have bigger resin pour plugs than parts!!

If it appears almost 'snappable' I have tried two things with success.
1 - I score the resin sprue/plug with a knife, creating a thinner part. Then I snap along that line. Then tidy up the small bits left.
2 - Use a set of clippers and snip off bits of the sprue until you get close to the part, then carve off the small bits as.

If it appears neither 1 or 2 will work, get out the old tub of water and start sanding!!

I got spoiled with Ultracast stuff. You can just snap the overpour off, and there is very little cleanup needed. And on heads etc., the pour plug is on the attachment side or neck. Verlinden heads have the pour plug right
along the crest of the helmet. Fine for a Roman, but not a WW2 helmet!!

Good luck
Andy
