Subject:  Noob: Tracks aren't the right length?List thread.

I'm putting together my first AFV model (trumpeter IS-3M, 1/35) and i'm
quite amazed at the level of detail, and thoroughly terrified by the
thought of painting it :)

But that's not the point of this post. I was doing a trial fiting of the
tracks, and after running them over each of the wheels, it seems as if
they are much too long. It looks like i've got a good inch of excess track

Is this normal? from the way the two ends of the track are keyed, i'd
have assumed that they would be a good fit, but i'm starting to think
i'll have to trim both ends to make it fit correctly, and i'm not sure
i'll have any material left to attach them afterwards.

What do you all do when this happens? Will they fit once all is said and
glued?

Help!
:)
