YEs, This was based upon a Faked photo. IT would be more accurate to just have the Frz1250 scope only at the commanders ring cupola. However there should be a vertical (somewhat) connecting rod that runs through the turret roof to link the IR unit.
This would be around the sight vane.
I have always thought the IR stuff was great; I wonder how much it was used. ??????

The SW Panther from Tamiya has multiple IR sprues, its a little better than the DML kit., and not in clear stryene.
