Paul, those are the ones! What did you use to make them? I forsaw the problem you had and pinned them with fairly thick brass wire. I'm a wargamer too, so I do a lot of pinning of my multi-part kits (like chariots or riders to their mounts) and never had any breakage. R&J could have really improved the product by adding a pin in it, but with precautions I found the tools to be the least tedious, fastest way to do Zimmerit on 1/35 scale models when combined with Zimm-it-rite (tried it with Squadron putties and was less successful).
