Subject:  Replicating anti-slip pattern on modern armour kits.List thread.

Hi all,

I must enhance the anti-slip pattern on my 1/16 Leopard 2A6.

I know the Verlinden method (tried it not very successfully) of sprinkling fine sand on plastic prepared with wet liquid cement.

I know of the method described on the Vodnik's place website spraying Mr Surfacer 500, I think this would be too fine for large scale.

I know of the Cast-a-coat product (featured in the TMMI M1A2 article), I'm worried it could be fragile and difficult to get the right grain and an even finish.

I'm thinking of using very fine sand sprinkled on plastic covered with thin superglue, then kick in with superglue accelerator, then a final coat of Mr Surfacer 1000 to seal things up.

What do you think?

Any other suggestions?

Cheers,
Christophe
