Simplest yet...

Thin CA the area to be anti-skid'd, and then dust with baking soda. Baking soda makes the CA set almosty instantly with a minor heating action, but not enough to damage/warp the plastic. End result is a granular-pebbly surface. Test it out on some scrap material to see if you like it.

I've used this 'mock-epoxy' before to repair/strengthen styrene RC bodies, especially the often-busted windshield pillars. Its strong as heck, and rarely busts in the same place again.
