I had a Dremel and found it was too fast for modelling. Even with a speed controller I could not run it slow enough to prevent melting plastic. I now have a Minicraft drill which comes with a speed controller that will adjust down to a few RPMs and will accomodate any Dremel bits. Hope this helps.
