Part 58 is the armored cover for the fume extractor exit (yeah, sort of pulls the fumes right in the loader's face). Part 57 is a hatch for the commander to stick signal flags and messages out of.

The Italeri kit is a good one to practice your modeling skills on, but understand that there are several accuracy problems with the turret and hull details due to the kit trying to represent four different versions (short gun F, long gun F, G, and most inadequately an H in a separate packaging). Late Gs and subsequent versions of the PzKpfw IV didn't have the signal hatch.
