Well the carpet monster ate the cannon off my 1/72nd, Roden 232!! I was cutting it off the frame when “click” gone, not on the floor, not out the door AND NOT in my pockets (been there done that). The only place else it could be is on the “transporter pad” of the starship “Enterprise” and a Scottish engineer is looking at a Vulcan science officer and saying “Ya can be a wee bit of a sod sometimes Mr. Spock”.
Anyway laugh or cry she’s gone (didn’t even hear it hit something else, nothing, not a sound!!). I’ve got a bit of a dodgy pic of the turret that shows the gun so I blew it up and tried as best I could to match the dimensions. The tubes I used are a bit big (but not outrageously so) and the sizes I used are a fraction up on the correct ones. It looks much better in real life than it does in my pic and the muzzle has a nice flare to it. If anyone wants dimensions then let me know. In the end I’ve decided that it’s for the best and was relatively easy to do. |
