I suppose a quick hit of glue on the back side wouldnt hurt, but my peices were so tight, glue wasnt nessasary really. I also tried after I posted, doing the same from the visible side of the hull. Once I cut off the mushroom head and filed, it was a seamless plug. Even better than going from the back.
