Ole
I haven't used that zimmerit set so I can't comment on it per se.
I have expereinced that problem with Cavalier's sets. My preferred solution is to use putty to fill in the gaps.
1. Apply putty to the uncovered edge
2. Using a blunt edge or preferreable a zimmerit tool (you can make one of these from old credit cards by cutting a jagged edge), emboss the zimmerit patttern onto the putty
As you are only doing this for a small area you don't need to be too accurate. If the uncovered area is really small, just applying the putty can blend the zimmeit edge into the kit without the need for embossing.
Cheers
