Hello.
I think my most sucessful approach at removing detail starts with my Dremel mini-mite. It has a very slow speed setting, which helps, and has multiple collets so you can chuck down to the smallest of grinding points.
X-acto #17 is the chisel I prefer, although a #10 or #16 at a 45 degree angle helps from certain attitudes.
After the grinding bit and blade, I revert to my 'Polishing Stick' for final cleanup and finish.
If you're ham handed and clumsy like me, it's a good idea to SAVE the surrounding detail under a couple layers of masking tape in case you slip.
HTH,
Rob |
