Hi Paul,

I solder my photo etch with pretty standard supplies. I use Radio Shacks .015 gauge Silver Bearing Solder and flux paste from the local hardware. As you probably already know, a clean surface area is key to a good strong joint. I rough mine up with a jewelers file, bend to shape, brush on flux into the joint, and finish by heating the part until the solder flows into the joint. Since you took electronics, your basically doing the same thing as tinning wires. As far as special tools, alligator clips as heat sinks on parts with multiple joints is about all I have ever required.

Model on,

Clair
