Hi Owen,
Yes, good job on the Hetzer. Regarding the schmallturm at Bovington,
yes it was from a Panther F. The Military Modeling article on the
Panther F by Jentz & Doyle relates that it remained in good condition
until the 1970s, at which point it was used for target practice. A sad
fate for a unique piece of historical military technology; and not all
that surprising considering the APG melted down their Pz.IIL Luchs and
that super-rare Type 04 Ho-Ro SPG for scrap during the Korean War.
