I haven't got personal experience but a similar query came up on another site. Unfortunately I can't find where, however, I think David Byrden (a bit of an expert in these matters), posted on there that he felt the stance of the tank wasn't quite right when the swing arms were free to move. Sorry David If I've misquoted.
Another poster suggested fixing the front and rear axles, leaving the middle ones to swing if going to be placed over rough terrain. I suppose if you were to leave a central set of wheels fixed, you would have to carefully weight the vehicle so that it were not nose down or tail down.
In order to make this worthwhile you would have to use a set of workable link tracks. |
