Subject:  "Roughing-up" PE for better adhesion..List thread.

 Date:  Nov 29, 2005
 From:  Glenn Milton
Good Day all,
I'm still relatively new to using PE, and it seems that CA glues never really work all that well, even the "Slow" type (I used the ZAP-A-GAP brand). What am I doing wrong? Does the back of the PE parts need to be sanded or somehow "roughed up"? Will a 5-minute epoxy work better? Do I need to "clean" the plastic or PE with alcohol first? Right now I'm mostly concerned with PE-to-plastic joins..
Thanks in advance to those who respond,
Glenn
