Lance,
One trick I've used for tricky sub-assemblies is to fix (using tamiya
masking tape) one part of the assembly to a fixed surface so that it doesn't
fly around the room during assembly. I let the tape act as my third hand.
In the case of the Aber clamps I would probably tape part 'b' the bottom of
the clasp to my Meltecca cutting board and then attach the other two parts
(using my two hands).
