I just experienced a serious "Aw S*** stupid stupid stupid!!!" event.

While building a Sherman Jumbo conversion using aftermarket resin roadwheels, I completed the bogeys (added bolts, drilled holes etc) and glued them to the hull. Then the horror. The roadwheels are WAY too large in diameter and all cement is set and cured. Result, chopping the roadwheels off with large nailhead nippers a chunk at a time, cutting the axles down to nubs and finesse a new set of correct scale roadwheels in. Build saved but what a cost!!
