I think I can top that.
I had a Tamiya T-55 with a huge amount of scratchbuilding, 99% built and ready to paint until my Labrador puppy chewed it into scrap plastic. Two weeks later, she did the same thing to a Tamiya Leopard 2A6. Kids, dogs, and models do not mix.
Right now I'm trying to figure out how to salvage a 1/16th T-34 85 from Trumpeter. Most of the completed sub-assemblies disappeared when friends came over to help clean up my house after Hurricane Katrina. They didn't realize what it was, and tossed it. Maybe I should give my dog to my friends.
