Hi All,
Took me a long time to reach this stage of construction. As I mentioned previously, this is my first FULL resin kit and truly multimedia experience. Warped hulls and air-bubbles. All-in-all a truly fun experience and very educational too (do's and dont's galore). But my A30 Challenger (Accurate Armour) is now fully tracked. My question is:
a._ The tracks are not permanently glued to the model yet (they are removable). Should I glue them on and paint them along with the entire model?
b._ Should I affix the stowage (nets, boxes, gear...) now and paint everything? Or should I leave them as separate assemblies?
c._ Do Cromwell/Challenger tracks rust? Or do they become dull silver with bright well polished spots where there they contact the ground?
d._ What is the interior color for a 1945 British tank?
e._ Do the tracks sag and touch the top of the wheels or is the current amount of slack okay (the tracks are slacked but do not touch the wheels)?
f._ I don't have a very complete paint collection, nor do I have a good airbrush. What is the best commercially (closest match out of the bottle) available color for British ETO AFVs?
Thanks for ANY help!
Cheers!
