Hi,
I got one of these earlier this week and it's a beauty!
In the box, I'd compare it to AFV Club's M88A1 kit, very fine subtle detail,
lots of finely moulded parts. My kit was motorized but there might be an
unmotorized version. The tracks are stiff vinyl but with excellent sharp
detail. There are four figures which are very good, although you could
change the heads to make them even better. The engine colling grilles have
fine mesh moulded on "à la Tamiya Leopard 2A5" this is very well done, not
quite as fine as Tamiya but very close. Detail on the front of the armoured
skirts is unbelievable. The machine guns are also very delicate. It's hard
to believe it's a Trumpeter kit (previous kits were decent but not that
great) but read some postings in the general group they appear to now have
new technical staff to help.
It seems to be a copy of the very good Corée resin kit, only better
(especially for the rear stowage rack).
Have a look at http://www5b.biglobe.ne.jp/~TANK-GUY/KIT-REVIEW01.html for a
comparison of the Corée and Trumpeter kit.
I have the Corée kit also, I'll write a review of the Trumpeter kit ASAP,
comparing it to the Corée kit....
I can't wait to build this kit!
Cheers,
Christophe
