Hi Paul,
Sorry to hear it didn't work with the 38T fenders as it did so well with the Cromwell fenders as you found out for yourself. But perhaps there's a solution, if the problem is in the embossing being 'the wrong way round'. First bend the sides 'the wrong way round', then do the embossing, and then bend the sides the 'right way'. I've never tried this as I've never had to do this kind of embossing as far as I can remember, but it seems to me to be worth a try, as discarding a expensive PE set is never a happy thing to do. Having said this, I some times wonder if the guys whom designs this sets ever try to build them themselves, as reguarly I found myself unable to make their ideas work. So some times defeat has to be accepted! ;-)
