Here is what I did.
1. Emboss the ribs with a tool that has proper size with the rib.
2. Roll the curling fenders with a wood rod.
3. Shape other details of the fenders into places.
Although the pictures show the "after", 1. and 2. have to be done before 3. The picture in the bottom is the result. It is not completely flat but is good enough to me.
