Eric,
the void:
we call it the "carpet monster" also. A beast that feeds from little tiny model parts and PE pieces. Somehow it manages you to loose those tiny little parts from the tips of your fine tweezers. I guess we all know this little "pitttt" sort of sound when the part jumps of the tweezers and the only words in our minds have four letters: like fu.k or sh.t.
And yes, sometimes the carpet monster makes a little joke, giving back one of those tiny little parts after you finished your model finding a solution to live without the part.
