Thanks guys,
I've tried johannnes his method and it does work to make small adjustments. I'm in a way lucky that I have the Tiger II set, as this has several extra 'option' panels that I can cut up and so 'jigsaw puzzle' an even zimmerit coat with. I've avoided zimmerit coated vehicles for years as I found applying it a tedious and messy way to spend the day. These Attak zimmerit sets are nice, but it would even be nicer if Atak made them a few procent too big, in both dimensions, to cater for shrinkage, and also because it's easier to trim off then to add. But having said that, Atak still beats DIY.
I will try the 'damaged' option another time, as the Tiger II I'm building is supposed to be a factory new 'monochrome' yellow vehicle. I want to use it to improve my painting skills, preshading, filters, etc. to try to liven up such a monochrome scheme. So a very even and intact zimmerit coat is paramount.
Cheers,
Alex |
