Hi Paul
No, this tank is the left side, secondary, 70 litres tank. There has to be one opposite to it on the right side. These two side tanks was installed in all 4 versions of the 234 series. It was made with reference to the 234/3 in Bovington. The 234/4 was "only" missing the 110 litres main fuel tanks that was located inside the crew compartment to the rear.
Actually, this must have cut the operating range with nearly half, but it dosent seem that anybody has taken real notice of it, course no matter what book you read, they all have the same operating range?
