Craig.
When I did my BR52 I just used standard Tamiya cement to hold those "sand pipes" on.
I used really "mild" non-sticky masking tape to hold them and let them dry for a bit. I also used Tamiya gray primer which helps hold them. They virtually lay perfeclty into position anyway so you really only need to glue it in certain spots.
I found them especially hard to anchor into the top "sand box" compartment. In hindsight I would have drilled some holes in the box to insert the ends.
