Be wary of using a tissue that, once dry, will look like 1/35 scale tree bark. Even the roughest burlap sack would have barely discernable texture in 1/35. The guys who advocated impressing an old T shirt onto putty sandbags are nuts, IMHO. They look like chain mail.
Use the fine tissue like Gerald said -- keep the others for sneezing fits.
