The topic of whether one opens up the definition of a "figures" section
in an AFV specialist area has been discussed in another forum. A couple
of years ago this exact same item was on the table amongst those of us
involved with the AMPS rules and national contest. Some argued that a
figures category could and should have figures of any era, however, the
majority view was that as the baseline organisation was about modelling
AFVs then the figures had to have some relationship to AFVs. It wasn't a
slag against the guys who brought out Napoleonics as a lot of the
members (and rules committee members) painted figures of all ages. We
just decided that the focus of the group was AFVs and that anything that
distracted us from that would spread our small amount of resources even
thinner.

Just 2 cents from a neighbouring quarter.
