I read articles about using pink or blue to highlight black. This is a
different question.

I painted my 1/16 SWAT figure PACTRA Flat Black and the black is as dull as
black cardboard (or the bottom of a mousepad). Charcoal gray or pencil
graphite instead of pure black.

Now I have Tamiya, Testor's, and Gunze Flat Black and although they say
flat, the sheen is pretty similar to that of a computer electrical
cable---black but far from flat. That is, the color does look darker than
PACTRA's.

My questions are: Should I add wrinkle shadows using the non-PACTRA black or
would that look really funny having a sheen or a darker black for shadows?

OR...should I just highlight and forget shading the black?

Thanks!

Pete
