Subject:  Any ideas for loose grenades on a MODERN figure?List thread.

DML's Vietnam figure kits come with a lot of loose grenades to tack onto the sides of the ammo pouches. Nowadays, the ALICE ammo pouch has two pockets for hand grenades.

Since I don't model NAM, I'm stuck with a huge pile of loose hand grenades. I read that today's soldiers don't attach loose grenades to themselves (harnesses) because the pin might snag on something and well--KABOOM! As such, modern soldiers always place grenades in some pouch or bag.

Can anyone think of how I can use loose grenades on modern figures? The only idea I can think of is some RAMBO figure festooned with grenades...which doesn't sound too bad . Can I just throw them in the back of a soft-skin SOF FAV and have them roll around or is that another dumb idea?

I sure hate to see over two-dozen fine-looking DML hand grenades go to waste!

Any semi-LOGICAL and semi-REASONABLE idea appreciated. Thanks!

Peter
