Subject:  New plastic W.W. II figs from Mini Art, UkraineList thread.

I just got three nice sets of plastic figures made by an aparently new company in the Ukraine called Mini Art.

Set 35001 is Soviet Infantry at Rest 1943-45
Set 35002 is Soviet Infantry on the Move 43-45
Set 35003 is German Tank Crew

The Soviet sets give four figures each. The set at rest is a group of casual tank riders rolling cigarettes on the back of a T-34. The set on the Move are basic walking poses in a variety of uniforms. This set also has a dozen different arms and heads, and the back of the box lists over 15 alternative poses. Various weapons, machineguns, anti-tank rifles, etc., are provided for the different poses, too.

German set has five crewmen for a Panzer IV posed in all the hatches.

The level of detail is really good, and the figures have good, relaxed poses. Detail is,however, a little soft and the molding will take a lot of cleanup. Still, VERY ambitious looking first efforts and very unique. Even with all the assorted German figs on the market there is not one plastic set of a whole tank crew posed in the vehicle.
