John,
So far as I know, the figures in Kit 6808 are wearing the herringbone twill cotton uniform. This was a uniform issued during WWII. However, the sargeant on the box wears the small nco chevrons introduced after the war. Note this is blue strips on gold background denoting combat nco as opposed to adminisrative nco strips which were reversed with gold stips on blue background, I think introduced about 1948. The chevrons would have to be scraped off. But I think all the rest is correct for WWII.
