The "Chevrons" are the "V" shaped insignia or rank badges also called
"stripes". They should be located on the upper sleeve, near the shoulder.
NCO of course, stands for Non-Commissioned Officer, i.e. corporals,
sergeants, warrant officers and all the flavours thereof.
