OK Jason;

First thing I need to address is that pre-war there was no Waffen-SS. They were the SS-Verfügungstruppe. Waffen-SS was not used until around 1940.

As far as I can tell, in a small scale from 54mm to 120mm any differences in uniform will be hard to distinguish from ca. 1938 to ca. 1943. You may have to take a Waffen-SS trooper from the waist up and mate it with a Waffen-SS officer from the waist down to get the dress jodphurs with the white leather gear.
