Eric,
2 suggestions: Mix some epoxy putty and apply it to the spot, blending it
into the rest of the helmet with a little water. Then, while it's workable
press the seam in with a pointed round toothpick dipped in water, or any
other tool you think will work.

Other way is to scribe the seam in with a scribing tool or even an x-acto
blade if you're careful.
